The basic requirements for cells which are used to provide power to the electric motor which drives that car are;- NiCd and NiMh7.2VDC (Nominal) Sub 'C' Construction as defined in the BRCA rules. Capacity - 1700, 2000, 2400, 3000, 3300, 3600, 3700, 4200 mAh. LiPoPlease note that there is an emerging use of LiPo cells within the Racing car community. Whilst CMCC encourages the emergence of new technologies the use of LiPo is currently under review. At present members are encouraged to NOT use this type of cell from the perspective of creating a 'new' class due to there higher voltage and also safety aspects.
